Imam Hasan al-‘Askari (as)

مِنَ الجَهلِ الضَّحكُ مِن غَيرِ عَجَبٍ.

Laughing without cause stems from ignorance.

Imam Hasan al-‘Askari (as)

مَن وَعَظَ أخاهُ سِرّا فَقَد زانَهُ، ومَن وَعَظَهُ عَلانِيَةً فَقَد شانَهُ

He who exhorts his brother in secret has indeed adorned him, and he who exhorts him in public has dishonoured him.

ما أقبَحَ بالمُؤمِنِ أن تكونَ لَهُ رَغبَةٌ تُذِلُّهُ.

How revolting it is for the believer to have an avid desire that disgraces him.

جُعِلَتِ الخَبائثُ في بَيتٍ وجُعِلَ مِفتاحُهُ الكذبَ.

The malicious sins have all been put in one house, and the key for it is lying.

إنَّ ... للشَّجاعَةِ مِقدارا، فإن زادَ علَيهِ فهُو تَهَوُّرٌ.

Verily... courage has a limit, which when overstepped becomes foolhardiness.
