Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as)

إنّ الشَّيطانَ يُدِيرُ ابنَ آدَمَ في كُلِّ شَيْءٍ ، فإذا أعياهُ جَثَمَ لَهُ عِندَ المالِ فَأخَذَ بِرَقَبَتِهِ.

أقرَبُ ما يكونُ العَبدُ مِن اللّهِ جلَّ و عَزَّ إذا خَفَّ بَطنُهُ ، و أبغَضُ ما يكونُ العَبدُ إلَى اللّهِ عَزَّ و جلَّ إذا امتَلَأَ بَطنُهُ .

جاءَ رجُلٌ إلى أبي ذرٍّ فقالَ : يا أبا ذرٍّ، ما لَنا نَكرَهُ المَوتَ ؟ فقالَ : لأنّكُم عَمَّرتُمُ الدُّنيا و أخرَبتُمُ الآخِرَةَ ، فَتَكرَهونَ أن تُنقَلوا مِن عُمرانٍ إلى خَرابٍ.

اُتِيَ أميرُ المؤمنينَ عليه السلام بِدُهنٍ و قد كانَ ادَّهَنَ، فَادَّهَنَ، فقالَ : إنّا لا نَرُدُّ الطِّيبَ .
