The Prophet Muhammad (S):
When a young person gets married at the prime of his youth, his inner Satan cries out in rage, ‘Woe unto him! Woe unto him! he has now secured two-thirds of his religion against me.’ So he has only to be wary of his duty to Allah in the remaining one-third.

Imam Ali (as):
Let me suffice with salt and some loaves of bread out of [the comforts of] your world, for I see felicity to be secured only through God-wariness. What does Ali have to do with a bounty which is bound to perish and an enjoyment provided through sin? My Shia and I will meet our Lord with eyes which kept awake [at nights] and with empty stomachs.

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
Imam al-Sadiq (AS), with regards to God's verse: “Be wary of Allah, in whose Name you adjure one another and [of severing ties with] blood relations.”, said: 'It refers to people's blood relations, with whom Allah has ordered the ties to be maintained and has venerated them. Do you not see that He has mentioned them alongside His own name?'

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
Verily the love of high ranks and publicity do not exist in the heart of one who is awed and fearful [of Allah].

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
Maintain relations with your kin even if it is with a simple greeting of peace; Allah says in the Quran, 'Be wary of Allah, in whose Name you adjure one another and [be wary of severing ties with] blood relations. Surely, Allah is Watchful over you.'

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
Whoever knows that Allah sees him and hears whatever he says and does, be it good or bad, and this prevents him from indecent deeds, then he is considered among those whom Allah describes in the Quran saying: "[But as for] the one who feared the position of his Lord and prevented the soul from [unlawful] inclination, [then indeed, Paradise will be [his] refuge.]"

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
You might come across a man who is a perfect preacher not making the slightest mistake in his speech, and yet his heart is darker than the dark night, and you might also come across a man who cannot express what is in his heart [properly] while his heart glitters like a shining lantern.
