Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as)

وَ إِيَّاكُمْ وَ مَعَاصِيَ اللَّهِ أَنْ تَرْكَبُوهَا فَإِنَّهُ مَنِ انْتَهَكَ مَعَاصِيَ اللَّهِ فَرَكِبَهَا فَقَدْ أَبْلَغَ فِي الْإِسَاءَةِ إِلَى نَفْسِه .‏

Beware of disobeying Allah for one who shamelessly commits acts of disobedience to Allah has done the utmost evil to his own self.

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as)

إِنَّ اللَّهَ خَلَقَ الْإِسْلَامَ، فَجَعَلَ لَهُ‏ عَرْصَةً، وَ جَعَلَ لَهُ نُوراً، وَ جَعَلَ لَهُ حِصْناً، وَ جَعَلَ لَهُ نَاصِراً؛ فَأَمَّا عَرْصَتُهُ فَالْقُرْآنُ، وَ أَمَّا نُورُهُ فَالْحِكْمَةُ، وَ أَمَّا حِصْنُهُ فَالْمَعْرُوفُ، وَ أَمَّا أَنْصَارُهُ فَأَنَا وَ أَهْلُ بَيْتِي وَ شِيعَتُنَا؛ فَأَحِبُّوا أَهْلَ بَيْتِي وَ شِيعَتَهُمْ وَ أَنْصَارَهُمْ.

مَنْ زَارَ أَخَاهُ‏ فِي اللَّهِ وَ لِلَّهِ، جَاءَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ يَخْطُرُ بَيْنَ قَبَاطِيَ‏ مِنْ نُورٍ ، لَايَمُرُّ بِشَيْ‏ءٍ إِلَّا أَضَاءَ لَهُ حَتّى‏ يَقِفَ بَيْنَ يَدَيِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ، فَيَقُولُ اللَّهُ- عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ- لَهُ‏: مَرْحَباً، وَ إِذَا قَالَ‏: مَرْحَباً، أَجْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَ‏ لَهُ الْعَطِيَّةَ.
