Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (as): Imam al-Baqir (as), in a letter that he wrote to Sad al-Khayr, said, 'Allah protects a servant, as a result of his God-wariness from a thing which his intellect is distant from [he cannot grasp it], and He illuminates him from blindness and ignorance as a result of his God-wariness. Noah and those with him were saved in the ark and Salih and those with him were saved from the thunderbolt on account of their God-wariness. The patient ones are victorious and those groups are saved from destruction through God-wariness.' al-Kāfī
