The Prophet Muhammad (S):
There is a light in the hearts that does not illuminate unless through following the truth and the straight path; It is a ray from the light of the prophets that has been deposited in the hearts of the believers.

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
Know that between Allah and His creation there is no proximal angel, nor prophet, nor anything else [to intervene], except for their obedience to Him. So strive to obey Allah!

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
Allah, Mighty and Exalted, created all people according to the divine nature upon which He originated them, while they knew neither belief in religion nor disbelief and denial of faith, until Allah sent messengers to invite people to belief in Him, then Allah guided some of them and left some others misguided.

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
The prophets have the hardest ordeals from amongst people, then their successors, then they scale down according to their piety.

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
Allah, Mighty and Exalted, did not send any prophets except with truthfulness in their speech and returning a trust to its owner, be he good or wicked.

Imam al-Kazim (as):
Verily Allah, Blessed and most High, perfected His authoritative proofs for people through the intellects, helped messengers with [eloquent] speech, and guided them to His Lordship through reasoning.

Imam al-Kazim (as):
Verily Allah has two authoritative proofs over people: a manifest proof and an inward proof. The manifest proof is [represented by] the prophets and messengers and Imams (as), and the inward proof is [represented by] the intellects.

Imam al-Kazim (as):
Imam al-Kazim (as) in his advice to Hisham b. al-Hakam, said, ‘Allah has only sent His prophets and messengers to His servants in order that they may come to an understanding of Allah, so the ones who best heed their call are those who have the best inner knowledge, and the ones who best know Allah’s command are those who have the greatest intellects, and those who have the most perfect intellects will be the ones with the highest status in this world and in the Hereafter.’

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
The authority of Allah among His creation is the Prophet, and the authoritative proof for matters between Allah and His creation is intellect.

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
Know that no one among the creatures of Allah can avail you anything against Him, not even a proximate angel or a messenger or anyone else, so whoever would like the intercession of the intercessors to avail him before Allah, he must beseech Allah to be pleased with him.
