Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
Nothing is more abominable to Allah from all that He has made permissible than divorce, and verily Allah despises one who is quick to contract new divorces and marriages.

Imam al-Kazim (as):
O Hisham, a man of intellect is such that he neither allows the permissible things to distract him from gratefulness to Allah, nor the prohibited things to overcome his patience.

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
The life of this world is such that one will be held to account for the lawful things one has enjoyed therein, just as one will be punished for the unlawful things thereof.

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
It is written in the Torah: O son of Adam, Be as you would like to be; as you give so shall you get. One who accepts from Allah the little livelihood, Allah will accept from him the little in actions [worships]. One who is content with a little of lawful sustenance, his burden will be light, his earnings will be pure and will exit the limits of wickedness.

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
.... till Muhammad came, and he brought the Quran and its laws and teachings. So, the permitted (halal) of Muhammad is permitted until the Day of Resurrection, and his forbidden (haram) is forbidden until the Day of Resurrection.

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
The farmers are the treasures of mankind for they plant and harvest the good things that Allah has made grow. On the Day of Resurrection, they will occupy the best and nearest position [to Allah] and will be called the blessed ones.

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
The most important of what Allah has made obligatory for His creation is remembering Allah with much remembrance. I do not mean [remembering Allah through mere words and] saying: ‘Glory be to Allah, all praise is due to Allah, there is no God but Allah, and Allah is great’, although this is also a form of remembering Allah, but what I mean is to remember Allah in the face of what He has made lawful and what He has prohibited, So if it is an act of obedience they perform it, and if it is an act of disobedience they abandon it.

Imam Ali (as):
Verily this world is a house which begins with hardship and ends with annihilation, in its lawful things there is accountability and there is punishment in its unlawful things, he who is rich in it is tested and he who is poor lives in grief.

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
Whoever gives a verdict to people from their opinion submits to that which they have no knowledge of, and whoever submits to that which he does not have knowledge of is opposing Allah as he permits and prohibits what he does not have knowledge of.
