Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as)

ثَلَاثٌ يَحْجُزْنَ الْمَرْءَ عَنْ طَلَبِ الْمَعَالِي قَصْرُ الْهِمَّةِ وَ قِلَّةُ الْحِيلَةِ وَ ضَعْفُ الرَّأْي‏ .

There are three things that hinder a person from seeking lofty stations: low ambition, few stratagems, and weak opinion.

مَن أنَّبَ مُؤمِنا أنَّبَهُ اللّهُ فِي الدّنيا والآخِرَةِ.

He who reviles a believer will be reviled by Allah in both this world and the Hereafter.
