الإمام علي (عليه السَّلام):
وَ قَد سُئلَ عنِ الحِرصِ: ما هُو؟: هُو طَلَبُ القَليلِ بإضاعَةِ الكَثيرِ
When asked about covetousness, said, It is the desire for something little through the loss of a lot.
