Imam al-Kazim (as):
Not everyone who claims to believe in our Wilaya is a [true] believer, rather they have been made to be a source of consolation for the [true] believers.

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
Verily when our Qaim will rise, Allah will sharpen the sights and the hearing of our followers (Shia) to such an extent that there will be no need for courier between them and al-Qaim. He will speak to them and they will hear him, and they will see him whilst he is in his own locality.

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
al-Kafi : Wassha narrates from one of the companions of Imam al-Sadiq (as) that he (as) said: ‘Verily we are very patient and our Shia are even more patient than us.’ His companion asked, ‘May I be your ransom, how can your Shia be more patient than you?’ He replied, ‘Because we are patient alongside our knowledge [of everything], whereas our Shia are patient in spite of not knowing.’

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
Verily the Shia of Ali were those who restrained their stomachs and their sexual desires, who struggled and fought intensely, who worked hard for their Creator, who hoped for His reward and feared His punishment. If you have seen such people, then they are the very Shia of Jafar.

Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (as):
Let not different thoughts and ideologies mislead you, by Allah our Shia are only those who obey Allah, Mighty and Exalted.

Imam Ali (as):
Our Shia are those who give generously in our friendship, love one another in the light of our love, visit one another to revive our cause, those who if angered do not wrong, if pleased do not go to extremes. They are blessings to their neighbors, and at peace with those they associate with.

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
O Shi'a of the Family of Muhammad, know that the one who does not control himself when he gets angry is not of us.

Imam al-Kazim (as):
Our Shi'a (followers) are those who give generously due to [their adherence to] our guardianship, who love each other due to their love for us, who visit each other to preserve our cause, who, when they get angry, do not wrong anyone, and when they are happy, they are not extravagant . They are blessings for their neighbors and at peace with those they associate with.

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
Verily our followers (Shia) have four eyes: two in their head, and two in their heart. Actually, all people are such, except that Allah has opened their [the Shia’s] eyes, and blinded others’ [as a result of their rejection of His guidance].
