الإمام علي (عليه السَّلام):
إطعامُ الأسيرِ وَ الإحسانُ إليهِ حقٌّ واجبٌ، وَ إنْ قَتَلْتَه مِن الغدِ.
Feeding the prisoner and treating him well is an obligatory duty, even if you are to execute him the next day.

'Abd Allah b. Ja'far al-Himyari 'Abd Allah b. Ja'far al-Himyari was a Shiite scholar and muhaddith in the 3rd/9th and 4th/10th centuries. Nothing is known about the dates of his birth and death, but he definitely lived in the periods of Imam al-Hadi (a) and Imam al-Hasan al-'Askari (a) and the Minor Occultation.

He was an Akhbari scholar who believed in the authenticity of all hadiths in the Four Books. He is buried in the holy shrine of Imam al-Rida (a).
