الإمام علي (عليه السَّلام):
نَحْنُ شَجَرَةُ النُّبُوَّةِ وَ مَحَطُّ الرِّسَالَةِ وَ مُخْتَلَفُ الْمَلَائِكَةِ وَ يَنَابِيعُ الْحِكَمِ وَ مَعَادِنُ الْعِلْمِ نَاصِرُنَا وَ مُحِبُّنَا يَنْتَظِرُ الرَّحْمَةَ وَ عَدُوُّنَا وَ مبغضينا (مُبْغِضُنَا) يَنْتَظِرُ السَّطْوَةَ.
We [i.e. the Ahl al-Bayt] are the tree of prophethood and the location of Divine mission and the ones frequently visited by the angles and the springs of wisdom and the mines of knowledge. Our helpers and lovers expect mercy [from God] and our enemies and haters expect defeat.
