الإمام جعفر الصادق (عليه السَّلام ):
أَيُّمَا عَبْدٍ أَقْبَلَ قِبَلَ مَا يُحِبُّ اللَّهُ- عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ- أَقْبَلَ اللَّهُ قِبَلَ مَا يُحِبُّ؛ وَ مَنِ اعْتَصَمَ بِاللَّهِ عَصَمَهُ اللَّهُ؛ وَ مَنْ أَقْبَلَ اللَّهُ قِبَلَهُ وَ عَصَمَهُ لَمْ يُبَالِ لَوْ سَقَطَتِ السَّمَاءُ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ، أَوْ كَانَتْ نَازِلَةٌ نَزَلَتْ عَلى أَهْلِ الْأَرْضِ، فَشَمِلَتْهُمْ بَلِيَّةٌ، كَانَ فِي حِزْبِ اللَّهِ بِالتَّقْوى مِنْ كُلِّ بَلِيَّةٍ، أَ لَيْسَ اللَّهُ- عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ- يَقُولُ: «إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي مَقامٍ أَمِينٍ»؟
Anyone who turns towards [and dedicates himself to] what Allah loves, Allah too will turn towards what he loves, and one who holds fast to Allah, Allah will protect him, and when Allah turns towards what someone loves and protects him, then he would not care even if the sky falls upon the earth or a calamity befalls its inhabitants and afflicts them all, for he, due to his God wariness, will be among the members of the party of Allah feeling safe from any affliction. Does Allah not say in the Qur'an: "Indeed the God-wary will be in a secure place."

Abū Jaʿfar, Muḥammad b. Yaʿqūb b. Isḥāq al-Kulaynī Al-Rāzī (Arabic: ابوجعفر، محمّد بن یعقوب بن اسحاق الرازی) (c. 255/868-9 - 329/941) was among the greatest Shi'a hadith scholars and the author of al-Kafi, the most authentic Shi'a hadith collection and one the Four Books. He was born after the martyrdom of Imam al-'Askari (a), at the time of Imam al-Mahdi (a) and met some hadith transmitters who directly had heard hadiths from Imam al-Hadi (a) and Imam al-'Askari (a). It is said that al-Kulayni was very accurate in transmitting hadiths. Ibn Qulawayh, Muhammad b. Ali Majilawayh al-Qummi, Ahmad b. Muhammad al-Zurari were among his students.
