الْإِبْقَاءُ عَلَى الْعَمَلِ حَتّى‏ يَخْلُصَ أَشَدُّ مِنَ الْعَمَلِ، وَ الْعَمَلُ الْخَالِصُ الَّذِي لَا تُرِيدُ أَنْ يَحْمَدَكَ عَلَيْهِ أَحَدٌ إِلَّا اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ.

فَبِالْعَقْلِ عَرَفَ الْعِبَادُ خَالِقَهُمْ، وَ أَنَّهُمْ مَخْلُوقُونَ، وَ أَنَّهُ الْمُدَبِّرُ لَهُمْ، وَ أَنَّهُمُ الْمُدَبَّرُونَ، وَ أَنَّهُ الْبَاقِي وَ هُمُ الْفَانُونَ، وَ اسْتَدَلُّوا بِعُقُولِهِمْ عَلى‏ مَا رَأَوْا مِنْ خَلْقِهِ: مِنْ سَمَائِهِ وَ أَرْضِهِ وَ شَمْسِهِ وَ قَمَرِهِ وَ لَيْلِهِ وَ نَهَارِهِ، وَ بِأَنَّ لَهُ‏ وَ لَهُمْ خَالِقاً وَ مُدَبِّراً لَمْ يَزَلْ وَ لَا يَزُولُ.

إنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيُذنِبُ الذَّنبَ فيَندَمُ عَلَيهِ، و يَعمَلُ العَمَلَ فَيَسُرُّهُ ذلِكَ، فَيتَراخى عَن حالِه تِلكَ، فَلأنْ يَكونَ عَلى حالِهِ تِلكَ خَيرٌ لَهُ مِمّا دَخَلَ فيهِ .

وَ أَمَّا الْعِزُّ فَمَوْجُودٌ فِي خِدْمَةِ الْخَالِقِ فَمَنْ طَلَبَهُ فِي خِدْمَةِ الْمَخْلُوقِ لَمْ يَجِدْهُ .

As for honor, it is found in serving the Lord, so whoever seeks honor through serving the creatures will not find it.

لا تَستَعِنْ بِكَسلانَ، و لا تَستَشيرَنَّ عاجِزا.

Do not seek help from a lazy person, and do not consult with a weak person.
