الإمام الكاظم (عليه السَّلام):
إيّاكَ أن تَمنَعَ في طاعَهِ ‏اللّهِ، فتُنفِقَ مِثلَيهِ في مَعصيَةِ اللّهِ.

Imam al-Kazim (as):
Beware of withholding [charity] in the obedience of Allah, for you will spend twice its amount in disobeying Him.

There are two works attributed to al-Harrani; al-Tamhis and Tuhaf al-'uqul fi ma ja' min al-hikam wa l-mawa'iz min Al al-Rasul.

عَنْ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ، قَالَ: زَامَلْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ عليه السلام، فَحَطَطْنَا الرَّحْلَ‏ ، ثُمَّ مَشى‏ قَلِيلًا، ثُمَّ جَاءَ فَأَخَذَ بِيَدِي‏ ، فَغَمَزَهَا غَمْزَةً شَدِيدَةً، فَقُلْتُ: جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ، أَ وَ مَا كُنْتُ مَعَكَ فِي الْمَحْمِلِ؟ فَقَالَ: أَ مَا عَلِمْتَ أَنَّ الْمُؤْمِنَ إِذَا جَالَ جَوْلَةً، ثُمَّ أَخَذَ بِيَدِ أَخِيهِ، نَظَرَ اللَّهُ إِلَيْهِمَا بِوَجْهِهِ، فَلَمْ يَزَلْ مُقْبِلًا عَلَيْهِمَا بِوَجْهِهِ، وَ يَقُولُ لِلذُّنُوبِ: تَحَاتَ‏ عَنْهُمَا، فَتَتَحَاتُ يَا أَبَا حَمْزَةَ، كَمَا يَتَحَاتُ‏ الْوَرَقُ عَنِ‏ الشَّجَرِ، فَيَفْتَرِقَانِ وَ مَا عَلَيْهِمَا مِنْ ذَنْبٍ.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه و آله: مَنْ كَسَا أَحَداً مِنْ فُقَرَاءِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ ثَوْباً مِنْ عُرْيٍ، أَوْ أَعَانَهُ بِشَيْ‏ءٍ مِمَّا يُقَوِّيهِ‏ مِنْ‏ مَعِيشَتِهِ‏، وَكَّلَ اللَّهُ- عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ- بِهِ‏ سَبْعِينَ أَلْفَ مَلَكٍ مِنَ الْمَلَائِكَةِ يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ‏ لِكُلِّ ذَنْبٍ عَمِلَهُ إِلى‏ أَنْ يُنْفَخَ فِي الصُّور.

إنّ اللّهَ عزّ و جلّ وَضَعَ الزَّكاةَ قُوتا للفُقَراءِ و تَوفِيرا لِأموالِكُم .
