الإمام الكاظم (عليه السَّلام):
تُستَحَبُّ عَرامَةُ الغُلامِ في صِغَرِهِ لِيَكُونَ حَليما في كِبَرِهِ.
Imam al-Kazim (as):
Naughtiness of a boy in his childhood is good, as it will bring clemency to him as an adult.

مَن لَم يَتَعَلَّمْ في الصِّغَرِ لَم يَتَقَدَّمْ في الكِبَرِ.
Imam Ali (as):
He who does not learn as a child does not progress as an adult.

He who does not exert himself in his childhood will not be high-minded when he grows up.

The Prophet Muhammad (S):
The naughtiness of a child in his childhood is a sign of an excess of his intellect as an adult.

Protect your children from the milk of prostitutes and madwomen, for verily the milk has an effect [on the child].

Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (as):
Get beautiful wet-nurses to suckle your child and keep away from ugly ones, for verily the milk has an effect [on the child].
