الإمام جعفر الصادق (عليه السَّلام ):
مَنْ لَمْ يُصَدِّقْ فِعْلُهُ قَوْلَهُ فَلَيْسَ بِعَالِمٍ.

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
He whose actions do not confirm his statements is not a scholar [no matter how much knowledge he possesses].

مَنِ اسْتَدَانَ دَيْناً، فَلَمْ يَنْوِ قَضَاءَهُ، كَانَ بِمَنْزِلَةِ السَّارِق‏.

One who takes a loan without any intention to pay it back is no different from a thief.

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as)

إنَّ الرَّجُلَ يُذنِبُ الذَّنبَ فَيُحرَمُ صلاةَ اللَّيلِ، و إنَّ العَمَلَ السَّيِّءَ أسرَعُ في صاحِبِهِ مِن السِّكِّينِ في اللَّحمِ .

مَن رَضِيَ مِن اللّهِ بِاليَسيرِ مِن المَعاشِ رَضِيَ اللّهُ مِنهُ بِاليَسيرِ مِن العَمَلِ.

Whoever accepts from Allah the little livelihood, Allah will accept from him the little in actions.

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as)

. إِذَا تَخَلَّى الْمُؤْمِنُ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا سَمَا وَ وَجَدَ حَلَاوَةَ حُبِّ اللَّه‏

When the believer relinquishes this world, he is elevated and finds the sweet taste of Allah's love.

إِنَّ ضَیْفَ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ رَجُلٌ حَجَّ وَ اعْتَمَرَ فَهُوَ ضَیْفُ اللَّهِ حَتَّی یَرْجِعَ إِلَی مَنْزِلِهِ وَ رَجُلٌ کَانَ فِی صَلَاتِهِ فَهُوَ فِی کَنَفِ اللَّهِ حَتَّی یَنْصَرِفَ وَ رَجُلٌ زَارَ أَخَاهُ الْمُؤْمِنَ فِی اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ فَهُوَ زَائِرُ اللَّهِ فِی عَاجِلِ ثَوَابِهِ وَ خَزَائِنِ رَحْمَتِهِ.

قال أبو عبد اللّه عليه السلام لِعُبَيدِ بنِ زِيادٍ : إظهارُ النِّعمَةِ أحَبُّ إلَى اللّهِ مِن صِيانَتِها ، فإيّاكَ أن تَتزَيّنَ إلاّ في أحسَنِ زِيِّ قَومِكَ . قالَ : فما رُئيَ عُبَيدٌ إلاّ في أحسَنِ زِيِّ قَومِهِ حتّى ماتَ .
