الإمام السّجاد (عليه السَّلام):
إِيَّاكَ وَ مُصَاحَبَةَ الْبَخِيلِ فَإِنَّهُ يَخْذُلُكَ فِي مَالِهِ أَحْوَجَ مَا تَكُونُ إِلَيْه .‏

Imam al-Sajjad (as):
Beware of befriending a miser, for he will deny you his wealth when you are in dire need of his financial support.

Imam al-Sajjad (as)

مَا مِنْ شَيْ‏ءٍ أَحَبَّ إِلَى اللَّهِ بَعْدَ مَعْرِفَتِهِ مِنْ عِفَّةِ بَطْنٍ وَفَرْجٍ، وَمَا مِنْ شَيْ‏ءٍ أَحَبَّ إِلَى اللَّهِ مِنْ أَنْ يُسْأَلَ.

After knowledge of God there is nothing more loved by Him than chastity of the stomach and private parts.

Imam al-Sajjad (as)

مَن سَقى مُؤمنا مِن ظَمَأٍ سَقاهُ اللّهُ مِنَ الرَّحيقِ المَختومِ .

Whoever quenches a believer’s thirst, Allah will quench him from the pure sealed wine [of Paradise].

Imam al-Sajjad (as)

الصَّمَدُ: الّذي لا شَريكَ لَهُ، و لا يَؤودُهُ حِفظُ شَي‏ءٍ، و لا يَعزُبُ عَنهُ شَي‏ءٌ.

The All-embracing is the One Who has no partner, He is not tired by His preservation of things, and nothing is unknown to Him.

الدُّعَاءُ يَدْفَعُ الْبَلَاءَ النَّازِلَ وَ مَا لَمْ يَنْزِلْ.

Supplication repels descended calamities and those which are not yet descended.

وَ الذُّنُوبُ الَّتِي تُدِيلُ الْأَعْدَاءَ الْمُجَاهَرَةُ بِالظُّلْمِ وَ إِعْلَانُ الْفُجُورِ وَ إِبَاحَةُ الْمَحْظُورِ وَ عِصْيَانُ الْأَخْيَارِ وَ الِانْطِبَاعُ لِلْأَشْرَار

کَانَ آخِرُ مَا أَوْصَی بِهِ الْخَضِرُ مُوسَی بْنَ عِمْرَانَ علیهما السّلام أَنْ قَالَ لَهُ لَا تُعَیِّرَنَّ أَحَداً بِذَنْبٍ وَ إِنَّ أَحَبَّ الْأُمُورِ إِلَی اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ ثَلَاثَهٌ الْقَصْدُ فِی الْجِدَهِ وَ الْعَفْوُ فِی الْمَقْدُرَهِ وَ الرِّفْقُ بِعِبَادِ اللَّهِ وَ مَا رَفَقَ أَحَدٌ بِأَحَدٍ فِی الدُّنْیَا إِلَّا رَفَقَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ بِهِ یَوْمَ الْقِیَامَهِ وَ رَأْسُ الْحِکْمَهِ مَخَافَهُ اللَّهِ تَبَارَكَ وَ تَعَالَی.
