رسول الله (صلی الله علیه و آله):
يا ابا ذرّ! الْجُلُوسُ سَاعَةً عِنْدَ مُذَاكَرَةِ الْعِلْمِ أَحَبُّ إِلَى اللَّهِ مِنْ قِيَامِ أَلْفِ لَيْلَةٍ يُصَلَّى فِي كُلِّ لَيْلَةٍ أَلْفُ رَكْعَةٍ وَ الْجُلُوسُ سَاعَةً عِنْدَ مُذَاكَرَةِ الْعِلْمِ أَحَبُّ إِلَى اللَّهِ مِنْ أَلْفِ غَزْوَةٍ وَ قِرَاءَةِ الْقُرْآنِ كُلِّه
O Abadhar, an hour of sitting for scientific discussion is more beloved to Allah than one’s keeping vigil for a thousand nights wherein he performs a thousand units of prayer in each night. Gathering for scientific discussion for an hour is more beloved to Allah than a thousand battles, and reciting the entire Qur’an.
