Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
In an intimate conversation that Allah had with Prophet Moses (AS), He said: "Do not envy anyone merely because people are pleased with him until you know that Allah is also pleased with him, and do not envy anyone for being obeyed by people, because people’s obedience to him and their adherence to him in falsehood is a source of destruction for him and for those adhering to him.

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
Allah said to prophet Moses (as), O son of 'Imran, do not ever be jealous of people for what I have bestowed upon them of My grace and do not extend your eyes towards it and do not preoccupy your heart with it, for verily the jealous one is discontented with My bounties and rejects the way I have distributed My bounties among people. And I disassociate Myself from such people as they are not from Me either.

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
Jelousy consumes faith the same way fire consumes firewood.

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
In one of Allah's intimate conversations with Prophet Moses (AS), He said, O Moses, do not envy anyone for their abundant wealth, for when one’s wealth increases, so does his sins, due to its obligatory rights [they usually fail to fulfill].
