Individual Ethics » Virtues » Repentance » The Similitude of Seeking Forgiveness

The similitude of seeking God's forgiveness is that of a leaf that falls down from a tree when it is shaken. However, one who seeks God's forgiveness for a sin while still committing the sin is as one who is mocking his Lord.
