الإمام علي (عليه السَّلام):
مُنَاصِحُكَ مُشْفِقٌ عَلَيْكَ مُحَسِنٌ إِلَيْكَ نَاظِرٌ فِي عَوَاقِبِكَ مُسْتَدْرِكٌ فَوَارِطَكَ فَفِي طَاعَتِهِ رَشَادُكَ وَ فِي مُخَالَفَتِهِ فَسَادُكَ .

One who offers you good advice is being sympathetic towards you, doing you a favor, taking your future into consideration and trying to correct your shortcomings, thus, in his obedience, lies your progress and, in his defiance, lies your corruption.

Abul Hasan Kafi al-Din Ali bin Muhammad bin Hasan bin Laithi Wasti, preacher, poet, one of the scholars of the 6th century, author of the book Ayun al-Hakm wa al-Mawazi. Allameh Majlisi says in volume 78 of Bihar al-Anwar: Sheikh Ali bin Muhammad Laithi Wasti has given the words of Amir al-Mu'minin (a.s.) and the words of the rest of the Imams of Athar (a.s.) in the book Aiyun al-Hikam wa al-Wa'iz and Zokharah al-Mu'taaz wa al-Wa'iz.
