The world is the abode of the hypocrites and it is not the abode of the pious ones, so take from the world enough to keep your body strong, to keep yourself alive and to gain provision for your Resurrection.

Kamal al-Din, Abu Salem Muhammad bin Talha bin Hassan Qorashi Shafi'i was the mufti of Damascus and a preacher there. He was born in one of the villages of Nasibin - one of the cities in northern Iraq - and he traveled to Neishabour to listen to hadith, and later he started narrating hadith in Aleppo and Damascus. He excelled in jurisprudence and principles and had mastered the strange sciences, the knowledge of Jafar and the science of letters. The biographers have mentioned and written about his ascetic life, although he reached the ministry in Damascus, but after 2 days he left that position and continued his life as an ascetic. He had Shafi'i religion.
