الامام الحسین (علیه السلام):
اعلَموا أنَّ المَعروفَ مُكِسبٌ حَمدا، ومُعقِبٌ أجرا، فلَو رَأيتُمُ المَعروفَ رَجُلًا لَرَأيتُموهُ حَسَنا جَميلًا يَسُرُّ النّاظِرينَ ويَفوقُ العالَمينَ، ولَو رَأيتُمُ اللُّؤمَ رَأيتُموهُ سَمِجا قَبيحا مَشوما تَنفِرُ مِنهُ القُلوبُ وتُغَضُّ دُونَهُ الأبصار
Sabed que los buenos actos obtienen resultados dignos de elogio y terminan en ganancias que se pueden obsequiar. Si vieras actos de cortesía personificados como hombre, lo percibirías como bueno y apuesto, agradable de contemplar para la gente y trascendiendo todos los mundos. Y si personificaras los actos de vileza personificados, percibirías a un hombre feo, repugnante y desfigurado, a quien los corazones se opondrían y al que los ojos se apartarían disgustados.

Kashf al-ghumma fi ma'arifat al-a'imma is his most notable work. This is one of the reliable biographies of the Prophet (s) and Shi'a Imams (a).
