Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as)

أفضَلُ العِبادَةِ إدمانُ التَّفكُّرِفي اللّهِ وفي قُدرَتِهِ.

The best of worship is perpetually thinking about Allah and His power.

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as)

مَن طَلَبَ الرئاسةَ هَلَكَ.

One who seeks after leadership perishes.

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as)

لا إيمانَ لِمَن لا حياءَ لَهُ.

There is no faith for the one who has no modesty.

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as)

يقولُ إبليسُ لِجُنُودِهِ: ألقُوا بَينَهُمُ الحَسَدَ والبَغيَ؛ فإنّهُما يَعدِلانِ عِندَ اللّهِ الشِّركَ.

أيُّما رجُلٍ مِن شِيعَتِنا أتاهُ رجُلٌ مِن إخْوانِنا فاسْتَعانَ بهِ في حاجَةٍ فلَم يُعِنْهُ وَ هُو يَقْدِرُ، ابْتَلاهُ اللّهُ عزّوجلّ بأنْ يَقْضيَ حوائجَ عَدُوٍّ مِن أعْدائنا يُعذّبُهُ اللّهُ علَيهِ يَومَ القِيامَةِ.

Whichever one of our brothers comes to one of our followers (Shia) and seeks help from him regarding a need and he does not help him, Allah...

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as)

اللّهُ في عَونِ المؤمنِ ما كانَ المؤمنُ في عَونِ أخيهِ.

Allah helps the believer as long as the believer helps his brother.
