رسول الله (صلی الله علیه و آله):
ما سَألتُ ربِّي أولادا نُضْرَالوَجهِ، ولا سَألتُهُ وَلَدا حسَنَ القامَةِ، ولكنْ سَألتُ ربِّي أولادا مُطِيعِينَ للّهِ وَجِلِينَ مِنهُ؛ حتّى إذا نَظَرتُ إلَيهِ وهُو مُطيعٌ للّهِ قَرَّت عَيني.
No le pedí a Dios que me diera niños que tuvieran un bello rostro, así como yo no le pedí un hijo de buena estatura, pero le pedí a mi Señor hijos que obedezcan a Dios y le teman para que mis ojos se regocijen cuando los mire [y los vea] obedientes a Dios.
